- Ocean Pointe is a planned community and census place in the ʻEwa District, about fifteen miles from Honolulu, with a population of 14,965 at the 2020 count. The land under it grew sugar: ʻEwa was one of Oʻahu's larger population centers around the turn of the twentieth century, organised around the ʻEwa Mill and the villages the mill built for its workers. No cane is grown on the ʻEwa Plain now. What is there instead runs unbroken south to ʻEwa Beach, north to Honouliuli and west to Kalaeloa and Kapolei — the area people mean when they say Oʻahu's Second City. source
