Kamuela
What's actually here
We don't hold amenity distances for Kamuela yet.
- Waimea — which the post office calls Kamuela, to tell it apart from the other two Waimeas in the state — is a landlocked town in the saddle of Hawaiʻi Island and the center of ranching and paniolo culture. The name means reddish water. At around 2,700 feet it is cool, green and often in cloud, which surprises people who expect Hawaiʻi Island to be lava. source
- The Rainfall Atlas of Hawaiʻi reads about 15 inches of rain a year here. · public data
